Before you launch, it is very important that you do some basic tests on your copy. The first set of tests check to see whether your sales letter actually communicates the intended message, and that it isn't a pain in the ass to read.
But before you get to any of these tests, give it a rest.
You've spent a lot of time on your sales letter, and you probably can't see even basic problems with it. Put the letter aside for a week or two. Don't think about it - do something else for a while. Then come back to it and see how it reads. I guarantee you'll find some areas that need to be fixed.

Once you've done all of those basic tests, you are ready for a "live" test.
In direct mail, copywriters select a small number of names from their database, mail the letter, and watch the response. That takes time, and it can be expensive. Luckily, on the web, you can do the same thing much cheaper.
It can be done with a bit of PPC, tweaks to your landing page, then more PPC until it all starts working.

Imagine the situation: you've completed your research. You've written your sales letter. You've finished your website. You are ready to go live.
But I have a warning for you: Beware, because going live without testing is a dangerous temptation. So let me warn you.
Don't give in to it.
The final step in the Quantum Copywriting system is Testing.
Like the other phases in the system, this one is critical. But unlike the others, you could launch your website or affiliate sales letter without doing this step. But that's a dangerous and short-sighted thing to do.
So test first. |
